HOSTA "ALLEGAN FOG" Developed by: Herrema/Ruh (2000).
This is a smaller hosta ideal for borders or as a specimen plant.
This fantastic NEW speckled hosta has the potential to grow to 16" tall. The shiny, slightly wavy leaves have dark green margins with white centers that are speckled/streaked with green. The tips are slightly twisted. The leaves appear to be foggy, hence the name. "Allegan Fog" grows best in part sun. New and unusual. Ideal for USDA Zones 3-9.
H. 'Allegan Fog' (named after Allegan County, Michigan) is truly one of the most distinctive hostas to hit the market in years. The clumps are topped with a 2' tall spike of light lavender flowers in midsummer. H. 'Allegan Fog' is a viridescent Hosta 'Fortunei'-type and will turn mostly green by late summer.
Ships bare root after 5-15-10 based upon growing conditions.
